The project, from my first year at ASU, started with the idea of expressing the abundance of the natural and manmade colors that can be found outdoors. As I worked on this project I also considered the influence color can have on how a photo feels.  My thoughts also centered around how to approach actually making color the subject matter of my photos.

 

I found that, in addition to abundance, this project also touches on the theme of manipulation.  I used the order of the images to create a feeling of movement through the colors and the composition of each image is intended to point the viewer’s eyes to specific places. This portfolio is intended communicate the abundance of the full color spectrum of ordinary things and the moods those colors can infer.
